Leg-Blitz Day-6.
Plus lots of walking, up in Cleveland at the Visalus LST event. I tried to keep a rough step-count, but lost count several times. (It was a busy day.) So, I rounded it off and came up with 3 additional dumpster-laps to add to my end-of-day work-out log. (It's roughly 60 steps to my dumpster and back to my door. So, when I'm out and about, I try to keep count of my steps. Then, when I get home I add them all up and divide by 60. But, I only really do this when a day has been particularly full and active. Today certainly qualifies.)
As I sit here, this evening and type this, my legs are jelly.
My knee, however is not particularly sore or aching. So, I think it’s healing up from last month’s twist, nicely.
One more day of this before my next rest day. I am sure that I will be repeating the mantra of the Little Engine-that-Could all day tomorrow. lol
So, Cousin Sarah and I went up to Cleveland today for the Visalus LST (Local Success Training). Big event with lots of people. While there, I got to meet a friend I have previously only known through Facebook, fellow Visalus Promoter Matthew Cogdeill, who is just an awesome guy!
Saw Visalus Ambassador Dawn Borzon, who I first met back in February at the Cleveland Stop on the Founders Tour. Awesome and inspirational lady!
We also got to meet 12-time IFBB Pro Figure Champion, 3-time Arnold Classic Chamption, 2-time Ms. Figure-Olympia Champion and Visalus 5-Star Ambassador Promoter, Jenny Lynn-Travis!
As I’ve talked about before on this blog, due to my personal history, I tend to get a little intimidated around lots of women. Well, at various times yesterday, I had three, four and even five very beautiful women talking to me, asking me questions about my Challenge-journey and giving me lots of support and hugs. And then, in the midst of all that, here comes Jenny Lynn-Travis, literally a World-Champion Beautiful Woman.
Let me just say that I am very proud of how relaxed and nonchalant I look in that picture. It is the product of an intense struggle to remind myself to breathe.
She asked me to come in on their team-call tomorrow night to tell my story. Very flattered and looking forward to that. :)
By far the best part of the day, though… I got to spend a lot of time in the car with Sarah. (Cleveland’s about an hour from here.) We got a good chance to talk and catch-up in person, which was really nice, given that she and Scott live eight hours away, and most of our interactions are over the phone or email.
We actually talked a bit about some of the issues that I’m still struggling to deal with and to grow beyond from my past relationships and all of that.
Every time she and/or Scott come up here, by the time they go back home again, I feel roughly a thousand times better, stronger and more confident in my Challenge and in everything I’m going through day-by-day.
They just have that effect.
See you tomorrow!
