Breakfast: 10am
1 Banana & Peanut Butter Visalus Shake

Mid-Morning: Nothing.

Lunch: 1pm
1 Chocolate Visalus Shake

Mid-Afternoon: Nothing.

Evening: 9pm
1 Chicken Breast
1 Tossed Salad (w/Blue Cheese Dressing)
16oz. Diet Rite

State of Being:
Got a chance to get over and see Dad today. He’s looking pretty well, all things considered.

We got him a tablet so he can read, surf the net, connect with people, etcetera, while he’s resting.

Got to see Uncle Bob (Dad’s brother) too. I haven’t seen him in a long while. (He lives in North Dakota.)

Dad seemed like he was able to keep some stuff down. He’s only allowed liquids, but the fact that he’s able to eat at all, is progress.

See you tomorrow.

Challenge Three: Day Eight

Breakfast: Nothing.

Mid-Morning: Nothing.

Lunch: Nothing.

Mid-Afternoon: Nothing.

Evening: Nothing.

State of Being:
Couldn’t eat today. Not getting much sleep, either.

Got some really bad news today. Dad was released from the hospital, but not because he’s better. There’s just too much cancer for them to really do much for him.

Now, I guess it’s just about making him as comfortable as possible and trying to put some weight back on him.

Don’t have much to say about this.

See you tomorrow.

Challenge Three: Day Six

Evening: 11pm
1 Can of Tomato Soup
46oz. Water

State of Being:
I have definitely arrived at the low-point of this flu. Couldn’t eat most of the day, as I could tell I wouldn’t be able to keep anything down.

I’m worried about my Dad. He’s still in the hospital and not doing so well.

I’m exhausted, but I can’t sleep.

I just feel like hell.

Hopefully things will turn around soon.

See you tomorrow.

6 of the Best Beef Ribs I’ve Ever Had in My Entire Life!
1 Large Garden Salad (w/Italian Dressing)
24oz. Water

State of Being:
So, I made it to the cookout. My friend Tom made me my own special little rack of diet-safe ribs. They were amazing!

I think I should propose and lock him down before some foodie snaps him up.

While I did make it to the cookout, I probably shouldn’t have. I feel like hell now. Came home early and I’m headed back to bed.

See you tomorrow!

Lunch: 12noon
1 Peanut-Butter-Cup Visalus Shake

Mid-Afternoon: 3pm
1 Tilapia Filet
16oz. V8 (Low Sodium, Spicy Hot)
46oz. Water

Evening: 7pm
1 Chocolate Visalus Shake

State of Being:
Really sick today.

This happens every year about this time. The temperature yesterday went from 80 degrees down to 30 in the span of the afternoon. Fighting a fever now. Gonna keep dosing myself with NyQuil and try to get as much sleep as I can.

There’s a Memorial Day Cookout tomorrow over at a friend’s place. The guy doing all the cooking is mixing up a special ribs-recipe for me, so that it won’t violate my dietary restrictions.

I’m going to feel terrible if I can’t make it.

*sigh* Back to bed.

See you tomorrow!

My mattress and my busted, old office chair are not doing me any favors in this department. Looking into possibly getting something new.

State of Being:
Today was a long one. Pretty stressful.

My back was really hurting when I woke up this morning. I think it’s my mattress. It’s been happening more and more whenever I’ve been laying on it for an extended period of time. Even now, I can’t quite stand-up straight. It’s just too stiff and achy.

Other than that, I’ve been trying to get caught up on some paperwork. Boring stuff.

See you tomorrow!
